One of my favorite Mary Oliver poems (but there are SO MANY favorites). Your drawing says it well.

My plan:  Be more wild, that is more loose, not so much prey to anxiety.  Be more present, that is, looking out of my eyes at this beautiful earth and extending my ability to concentrate my listening so that I receive it all.  Be brave, that is, use the gifts that I have been given all out, live fully, no regrets.  Now is the time!  Concentrate so that I am more and more myself.
And one last thought:  the Hopi Elders have been saying this for 50+ years:  we are the ones we have been waiting for.  It is up to us.

Yes! Wonderful end-of-summer-beginning-of-autumn question as we move into what the Celts call the “thin places.” Love the poem and you.
